No luck with upsc:

# ./upsc [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Error: Unknown error

I have tried to telnet, abd server responds:

# telnet localhost 3493
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.

ERR UNKNOWN-COMMAND

ERR UNKNOWN-COMMAND

ERR UNKNOWN-COMMAND
get ups.status
ERR INVALID-ARGUMENT

Now I have no clue about the protocol so ...

OK, I more or less expected that. This doesn't seem to be the problem here.

This seems to fix things. Could you try running 'upsc [EMAIL PROTECTED]'
to verify if you can still communicate through the listening sockets? We
probably already know the answer, so assuming you'll be able to
communicate through these sockets, I proactively committed the change
just a few minutes ago.
