If you bring the interfaces up and 2 or more of them have an IP address
on the same subnet and they are on the same link you have an unsupported
config. NWAM MUST NOT cause an unsupported or not recommended config.

It has to be automatic IPMP setup for same link same subnet OR NWAM must
only bring up a single interface.

If NWAM only brings up single interfaces at a time then I'd say you
are avoiding the high end workstation and server room and NWAM is only
about the laptop and simple desktop.

I don't see how it is similar. Having a single interface that NWAM
broughtup with DHCP that the admin chooses to turn into a static IP
address stored locally does not result in NWAM creating an unsupported
config, it results in NWAM creating a default config that is perfectly
valid, according to what we support of Solaris, that the admin chooses
to be different for their deployment.

If the admin wants a different IPMP config than what NWAM setup
automatically then thats fine the admin can change that.
