I'm inclined to agree with Terry here. I just moved to NYC. I had TWC at my old house. Due to the recent actions of TWCNYC I've already decided they are not an option for me here. I also won't reccomend them to friends here. ...something I did on a regular basis in Louisiana. >From what I've seen these DSL providers are not shabby at all. Unless they (TWC) immediately start sending out mass apologies, I don't see them ever being on my radar again as a suggested internet connection. I wish one of the DSL providers would jump on this opportunity and make Cable switchover offers. Not that I could benefit from it, but it would be a slap in the face to TWCNYC for a stupid action. If you give me an internet connection let me do with it what I chose. If someone does something off of my internet connection that isn't proper, I take responsibility for the connection. If that means you have to shut off my account because someone is port scanning from my connection. Shut it off. This is the wrong way to go about what they are trying to do. I also don't doubt they are subscribed to this list and reading your posts. They seem to like harassing the nycwireless.net associated people. No doubt they are wise enough to subscribe to the list as easy as you and I did. Gerald P.S. if nycwireless.net and this list were something I maintained, I'd be blocking the TWCNYC in the httpd.conf to the web site and from reading/subscribing to the lists. Doesn't seem like it would be hard to look at the logs and figure out where they are coming from.
