Recent U.S inflation rates:
2004 2.68%
2003 2.27%
2002 1.59%
2001 2.83%
2000 3.38%
Final data  is not in yet for 2005 but it looks like it will run a little
over 3%  I haven't really felt inflation as an issue since Jimmy Carter was
President and it sometimes hit close to 20%
