For anyone who hasn't already heard there is a Common Shelduck near Boston that is probably wild. Some people on the MA list are talking about other reports that were blown off cause of the remote possibility of them being escapes and why they were not given a closer look. It's to bad the one that was at Jamaica Bay about 10 years ago wasn't scrutinized more. In my opinion it was probably a wild bird since it was immaculate and had no bands on it's legs.
