It was definitely a case of quality over quantity at Hunter's Garden
(Eastport, Suffolk Co.) this morning, Between 7:45 and 9:30 I tallied
only 8 species of warbler, but that total included 1 BAY-BREASTED and
1 BLACKBURNIAN. The remaining 6 warblers were Blackpoll (1), N. Parula
(4-5), B&W (2-3), Ovenbird (8-9), Pine (3-4), and Common Yellowthroat (1).
Other migrant passerines present (all local breeders) included: E. Wood
Pewee, Great-crested Flycatcher, Red-eyed Vireo, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher,
Scarlet Tanager, Indigo Bunting, and Baltimore Oriole.
