I once again checked out the West End of Jones Beach this morning from about 8-10. *Brant *were seen along with a flock of Canada Geese between the bathrooms and the gazebo. *Merlins* were in good numbers and I spotted one *Cooper's Hawk*. A fair number of *Golden-crowned kinglets* were feeding along the fence bordering the actual coast guard station. *Northern flickers *were also prevalent. *Yellow-rumped warblers *were just about everywhere, and while I did not see any birds of real interest at the swale, several hundred (thousand?) tree swallows were feeding, drinking and resting. Additionally, a *Peregrine Falcon* was seen flying over Ocean Parkway. Images can be seen by visiting this link: http://birdsoflongisland.blogspot.com/2010/10/more-migrants.html
