I once again checked out the West End of Jones Beach this morning from about
8-10.  *Brant *were seen along with a flock of Canada Geese between the
bathrooms and the gazebo.  *Merlins* were in good numbers and I spotted one
*Cooper's Hawk*.  A fair number of *Golden-crowned kinglets* were feeding
along the fence bordering the actual coast guard station.  *Northern
flickers *were also prevalent.  *Yellow-rumped warblers *were just about
everywhere, and while I did not see any birds of real interest at the swale,
several hundred (thousand?) tree swallows were feeding, drinking and
resting.  Additionally, a *Peregrine Falcon* was seen flying over Ocean
