In pursuit of crossbills this morning I only came across good numbers of Pine Siskins and American Goldfinches. A few Northern Harriers were seen by the Nature Center and Red-Breasted Nuthatches were also plentiful. Along Ocean Bay Parkway an Osprey was spotted perched. Photos of these birds can be seen here: http://birdsoflongisland.blogspot.com/2010/11/pine-siskins-and-goldfinches-everywhere.html
