A quick look at Montauk Inlet this evening revealed an immature BROWN
PELICAN sitting at the tip of the western jetty at Montauk Inlet; presumably
the same individual that has been present since the end of August. It often
sits at the very end of either jetties, where it can be difficult to see.
Sand dredging is in progress and the parking lot on the western side is
closed.
