This evening, around 6:30, I observed the continuing Blue Grosbeak at Gilgo Beach. It was foraging for extended periods of time in the same area in which Derek Rogers found it last night - along the fenceline immediately east of the restrooms. The grosbeak was absent for long spans of time and a Sharp-shinned Hawk was noted cruising about the area. Numerous Indigo Buntings continued around the perimeter of the lot as well.
        Good birding,
