Apologies to all for sounding the false alarm. Upon further evaluation by more skilled field birders than myself, the Central Park Reservoir Mew/Common Gull that I posted about earlier today is actually a dark 1st cycle Ring-billed Gull. Thank you to everyone who provided me with their timely and thoughtful evaluation of this bird.
