Dear Birders,

With permission of the Listowner I am forwarding a petition being sent
around attempting to speed up the restoration of the MNSA in Oceanside,
Long Island.
Like so many coastal areas, this site was heavily damaged by Hurricane
Sandy.

The location is a favorite of birders looking to view Seaside and Saltmarsh
Sparrows from the network of boardwalks and berm trails, many of which are
still damaged today. A few lucky birders were able to see a Fork-tailed
Flycatcher here in the not too distant past!

You can read more about the site and it's educational mission at this link.
They are about half way to their goal for number of signatures.
