Arrived at the NE cloverleaf pond at Jones Beach SP about 10 minutes ago. Couldn’t see any ducks in the pond itself among the heavy vegetation, but then about five minutes ago 10 Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks picked up, whistling, and flew east/northeast. Perhaps a couple still in this pond, likely all still in the area, but who knows?
