Central Park, Manhattan, N.Y. City - Saturday and Sunday, May 6th and 7th:

Arrivals over the weekend included Eastern Wood-Pewee, and Acadian Flycatcher
(both species vocalizing). At least 28 species of warblers, including Mourning
Warbler (by May 6) were noted in Central Park. Many warblers and a good array
of other migrants arrived in fair to good numbers as well as in nice diversity.
Further passage and arrival is occurring locally from Sunday night into Monday
(5/8) and more new reports will be forthcoming. A number of species sometimes
all or mostly gone from the park (and also N.Y. County) by now, were still
being soon into this past weekend, even as so much migration-arrival was
ongoing.

Good birding to all,

Tom Fiore
