August 7 - At the Batavia Waste Water Treatment Plant: 7 Lesser Yellowlegs, 
 5 Wood Duck, 12 Spotted Sandpipers, 3 Northern Shovelers, 16 Ruddy Ducks, 
2  Caspian Terns, 14 Bonaparte's Gulls, At least 8 Great Egrets (one with a 
red leg  band that was eventually read) 3 Hooded Mergansers, Pied-billed 
Grebe,  Green-winged Teal, and 3 American Blak Ducks.
 
At Elba Mucklands  -  2 Stilt Sandpipers, 3 Pectoral Sandpipers,  8 
Semipalmated Sandpipers, 20 Least Sandpipers, 70 Lesser Yellowlegs, 10  
Blue-winged 
Teal, 3 Green-winged Teal, and 5 Solitary Sandpipers. Here are Chris  
Newton's exellent directions.
Directions to: Elba Mucklands - located at Muck Rd (a gravel  road) on the 
west side of Rt. 98 in the Town of Elba, Genesee County.  This road is a 
little north  of Ridge  Rd and not far from the Orleans County  line.
At Blair Road at Shelby Center 4 least Sandpipers, 7 Lesser  Yellowlegs, 
and 3 Killdeers.
 
August 6  - a White-rumped Sandpiper at Rock Point and a Bairds  Sandpiper 
at Mosaic Ponds in Ontario.
