This afternoon while leaving work en route to the grocery, I eked out
1 imm WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW at Hook Pond, East Hampton, on the western
entrance road, and 6 TUNDRA SWANS among the 5000+ CANADA GEESE at the
corner of Daniel's Lane and Fairfield Pond Rd in Sagaponack. Although
these Tundra's had been unreported by birders, a hunter I talked with
said they had "been around for a while." Goes to show just how much we
birders miss!
