Hello All, I led an Eastern Long Island Audubon Trip today on Montauk Peninsula and points west.There are still good numbers of Common Eiders around,dozens of Northern Gannets were moving well off the Lighthouse,and several Razorbill flyby's,but the bird of note was a BLACK VULTURE.West of Ditch Plains we had a single Turkey Vulture. At the west jetty by Montauk Harbor we found an Iceland Gull just of the beach and 2 Great Cormorants.The Lesser Blackbacked continues at Napeague Harbor along with an unexpected Great Egret.At Hook Pond there was a Whitefronted Goose and 26 Common Merganser.Good February Birding, Carl Starace
