A couple of birding notes from Dutchess County...
First, yesterday, I observed a well marked immature Golden Eagle as it flew east over the intersection of Shunpike and Rte 44, in Millbrook, NY. Second, I noticed that several Great Blue Herons arrived at their nests in an historic nest colony location near James Baird State Park, in Pleasant Valley, Dutchess County, NY, as of February 22nd.
