The Mourning Warbler reported yesterday by Eileen Schwinn was still present this morning at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, Suffolk County. The bird sang 3 times between 8:10 to 9:30 AM with long silences in between, and never came into view.

There was good activity overall, with 12 species of warblers, including several Canadas, in the small area between the railroad tracks and the boardwalk just inside the refuge fence. Other species of note were Ruby-throated Hummingbird (1 male) and a flock of 15 Cedar Waxwings.
