This morning at around 9 am there were at least SIX Eurasian Collared-Doves around the Greenwell farm on Church Road in Hamlin. I didn't get a good enough look to try & tell if any of these were young birds, but given the dramatic increase in numbers it seems likely that the local birds nested this year. The birds were moving around a fair bit but seemed to favor a dead tree at the end of the treeline west of the farm complex, north of the road.
