11/6/11 An adult BLACK-HEADED GULL was in the mixed gull flock at the south end of the Owl’s Head Wastewater Treatment Plant in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn this morning (photographed.) Likely the same bird that has frequented the spot for the last two winters, if it follows pattern it may persist into next year.
Owl’s Head Park itself was fairly slow today; there was better movement through Calvert Vaux Park by Coney Island Creek on Saturday, including an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER as well as continued showings by EASTERN MEADOWLARK and at least 14 EASTERN BLUEBIRDS.
