After a terrific morning of birding at Wertheim NWR with the Great South Bay
Audubon Society, I continued to Jamaica Bay where the Eared Grebe continued on
the bayside of the West Pond around Bench 5. There were reports in the bird
log of the grebe around 11:00 am, but then it apparently disappeared with the
flock of Horned Grebes later. It was present when we arrived around 1:00.
Unfortunately, we could not relocate the Eurasian Wigeon on the East Pond.
