Date: 4-28-12 Location: Alley Pond Park, Queens Sam Jannazzo and I meeting up with Bobby Kurtz and Steve Walters had a nice morning of birding at Alley Pond. The highlights were: 8 Warbler species (Parula, Yellow, Yellow-rumped, Black-throated Green, Black-and-white, Ovenbird, N. Waterthrush and L. Waterthrush), 2 Vireo species (Warbling and Blue-headed) Rose-breasted Grosbeak, B. Oriole Gt. Horned Owl Blue-gray Gnatcatcher and some Rusty Blackbirds. We totaled 38 species in all.
