I had been out of town for 10 days and looked forward to getting into my
local patch yesterday morning. Last year I found a Kentucky Warbler there
mid-June - it hung around for quite a while and, being greedy, I was sort
of hoping for another one this year. I had a pleasant walk, but wasn't
really surprised that I didn't hear or see one.

This morning, however, I did hear and see a singing Kentucky Warbler on the
DEC property at Rocky Point. The bird was in a different spot - last
year's bird stayed around here: 40.943107,-72.917603, but this morning's
bird was perhaps 500m to the west, around here: 40.943586,-72.912701.

I'm in this place practically every weekday morning -- it will be
interesting to see if it hangs around.
