With permission from the list serve admin, I would like to put out a
friendly reminder regarding birding the ponds in the dunes at Jones Beach
West End II.

I don't think there are signs that state this but it goes without saying
that birders and photographers should do their best to not walk out onto
the shores of those ponds.

Not only are you in jeopardy of disturbing wildlife but you might end up
having the park folks stop all activities near the ponds.  We don't want
that happening do we? Especially since we are in the peak of shorebird
migration and who knows what goodies might show up there :)

Thanks a bunch for caring for our shorebirds and habitat!
