Late this morning one adult Blue Grosbeak (calling) and two immatures were seen in the Veterans Memorial Park, Calverton, in the general vicinity of areas where probable breeding was reported in the last BBA.

This park is on the border of EPCAL on the south side of Route 25, approximately 4 miles east of William Floyd Parkway, prominently signed.
From the parking lot, go east to the paved road, then continue south
(right) past the adjoining paved road to the left. The birds were in the oaks overhanging the road about 100 yards on the right. The adult was acting somewhat territorial.
