Nov. 25, 2013 My wife Betsy and I had some great birds in the Montauk area: Adult male King Eider- seen very well from the Camp Hero overlook close to the lighthouse. American Pipit- parking lot Camp hero 50,000 scoters and eiders- Montauk Point Snowy Owl- heavily barred, Hicks Island easily seen from boat ramp Napeague Lesser Black-backed Gull (Larry) also seen from boat ramp Napeague Best Joe Giunta --
