The irruption of SNOWY OWLS continues, not only in the

Atlantic coast. On the Buffalo waterfront piers and

two off Fuhrmann Blvd. Single SNOWY OWLS at the mouth of

  Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Batavia.

On the upper Niagara River, December 7, a juvenile KING
EIDER at Squaw Island Park in Buffalo.

December 11, a peak day for gulls on the lower Niagara
River. At the Beck power plant overlook in Ontario, at least
20 ICELAND GULLS and a juvenile BLACK-LEG. KITTIWAKE, with
several THAYER'S GULLS, GLAUCOUS GULLS and L. BLACK-B.
GULLS. Also at the overlook, four apparent hybrid offsprings
of HERRING GULL and BLACK-B. GULL parents. Above Niagara
Falls, more GLAUCOUS GULLS, ICELAND GULL and L. BLACK-B.

along the length of the upper and lower river.

NORTHERN PINTAILS at Beaver Island State Park on Grand
Island. Seven TUNDRA SWANS and seven reported CACKLING GEESE
