Thanks to Dennis for the heads up. Heydi Lopes and I relocated the gull at around 9:45am within the flocks of Bonaparte's Gulls. They were all feeding just offshore in Gravesend Bay between Coney Island Creek Park and Norton Point. The black-headed disappeared for a bit but returned at around 10:20am. The close to shore feeding frenzy this morning was compliments of schools of bunker moving through the area. It also brought in larger than usual numbers of fisherman at the normally deserted spot.
