Snow Goose - 1 first-cycle (immature) bird north end Reservoir (Deb- early) Canada Goose - 450-500 Wood Duck - 2 males Reservoir Northern Shoveler - only around 50 Mallard - 75-100 Bufflehead - 6 Hooded Merganser - 10 Ruddy Duck - around 500 Mourning Dove - 24 American Coot - 2 Reservoir Ring-billed Gull - 4 Herring Gull - 17 Great Black-backed Gull - 1 Reservoir Great Blue Heron - 1 Turtle Pond Cooper's Hawk - 3 Red-tailed Hawk - 1 flyover Red-bellied Woodpecker - pair Laupot Bridge Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 2 (Belvedere Castle & Sparrow Rock) Downy Woodpecker - 3 Northern Flicker - 1 Sparrow Rock Blue Jay - 4 or 5 Brown Creeper - 2 Evodia Field Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 1 Belvedere Castle Hermit Thrush - 2 (Evodia Field, Belvedere Castle) American Robin - 5-10 House Finch - 20-30 American Goldfinch - 2 Laupot Bridge Fox Sparrow - 2 (Swampy Pin Oak & Evodia Field) Dark-eyed Junco - 3-5 White-throated Sparrow - 40-50 Song Sparrow - 1 northwest Reservoir (Deb - early) Red-winged Blackbird - 2 Laupot Bridge Common Grackle - 1 flyover Ramble Northern Cardinal - 7-10 -- Later at Randall's Island Bob and I saw an American Woodcock female at around 2:30pm.
