Actually, I would've thought that open source, once and for all, would have squashed that well rebutted one-time axiom. Let's stop treating it like a glib truism, because it's not. In some contexts, yes, you get what you pay for (typically with scarce goods, i.e. physical things that don't have a near $0 replication cost), but with software (as with other digital goods like online content, music, and web search), that's demonstrably untrue.
