The intellisence issue with 7.0 is widely reported and was a killer for me as well (apparently they re-wrote the entire engine - and failed miserably).
There is a 7.1 beta fixed that issue - which I'm currently using. ~ C -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Stig Manning Sent: Friday, 30 October 2009 11:29 a.m. To: [email protected] Subject: [phpug] Re: PHP IDE Preference and Experience Hi Cliff, I currently use: Zend Studio 7 (built on eclipse) But previously used: Zend Studio 5 I found the move from 5 to 7 frustrating, suddenly the autocomplete became very slow due to the limitations of Eclipse and the editor is now even more resource heavy (read slow). Many strange eclipse 'features' like the file synchronisation system, which means when I use third party subversion client (like tortoiseSVN), the files need to be refreshed before they can be edited (the solution is to use subclipse, which doesn't have great DIFF or log viewing tools). Other than that, I use Notepad++ for general editing and have tried Eclipse with PDT and Aptana.
