Apple is not above knocking stuff off either. Xerox anyone? Braun designs? Closed or not, likeable or not Steve Jobs and Apple did some amazing things. They made computers interesting, good looking and cool.

I'm not particularly a fan of most Apple products, but you can't deny the creativity and innovation shown over the years by these things. Personally I'm quite fond of my Android, but you can't say with any seriousness that it's not a blatant knockoff of an iphone / ipad. Would Google have come up with that idea by themselves if Jobs hadn't laid the groundwork for them and given the market an appetite? Ditto for everything else that Apple came up with over the years. Openness isn't important to everyone, and some people quite like being safely tucked away inside the bubble that Apple have created for them. I think it's sad. 56 is way too young. Harvey.
