[~reschke], agreed.... it is somewhat unrelated to the log output. the reason i
mentioned it is the fact that with the logs someone may call the new method and
assume he/she is find and get the warning, which might be a bit confusing. so,
just stating for the sake of completeness and for the record. ultimately, the
default implementation will probably be the {{Collections.emptySet()}} that is
currently present in the deprecated method.
