I definitely think that if it gets shut (which I tend to favour) then
it should NOT be in an irreversible manner. I also think that
Catherine White has a good point about the school kids. Could we ask
the school (now closed, unfortunately) to find out how many of their
learners do use it on a regular basis?

One question not yet addressed is whether closing it will in fact make
much difference to the crime (as opposed to the grime!) - after all
it's not very far to the next subway. I'd be interested in hearing
local opinions on this.
