I would like to stick my original idea, and not see any of the subways closed permanently - locked overnight - yes. (Question is: How do we get Vetus schola involved in locking and unlocking?) I agree with Ian Gilfillan, and others who have mentioned that more people will start using the actual railway line to make crossings (very dangerous), because people will not walk the distance to the bridge to cross over the tracks. I also support the view that Intersite/Metrorail be actively engaged by the OBSID to find a way to resolve this issue, both in terms of finding a solution and the cost thereof.
