Yesterday (Tues) late afternoon a very pleasant-looking youngish woman appeared at our gate with a piece of paper - presumably a list to sign. She said she was Saskia and that she teaches at Dreyer Street School. "The school is going through difficult financial times," she said, "and I'm collecting - just asking ten or twenty rand..." I checked her name and the name of the school and said "I'll phone the school tomorrow". Off she went, quite quickly.
Well it's tomorrow now and I can't find anything anywhere about a Dreyer Street school (in fact there are hardly any Dreyer Streets!). I can't warn the school about her if there is no school!
