The Oxford Road WhatsApp Alert Group reported this gunpoint robbery Tuesday late afternoon.
A White VW Jetta 4R6 no licence plates, was parked at 4 Oxford Road with 3 black and/or coloured occupants of which one followed the young man to the gate of his friend and took his backpack escaping in the car. The visitor is fortunately unharmed. Lessons to be learned: 1. Report each suspicious activity immediately. Another resident did observe the parked car but suspected drugs when the robbery unfolded. 2. Have both the Cops and Ops numbers on your cell phone for when seconds count. The victims friends had to ask the WhatsApp group for the Ops numbers. 3. Be observant of your surroundings the visitor passed the car with suspects. According to Saps this was not the first incidents and this can happen again.
