I have had up to four bikes and scooters in my front yard since we moved here.. Solid wooden gates with deadbolts, high walls, and a beam in the courtyard on a radio linked burglar alarm with adt armed response. I get "tried" three or four times a year, they come over the wall, alarm trips, they go straight back over the wall again..
My neighbors have a short wall and security gate, and have cutback the trees that provided a very effective barrier because they wanted more natural light in the front room.. In my opinion, not clever.
