Familiarity with AJAX, JavaScript, Flash, Workflow, ShareVis and/or Silverlight would be a bonus.* * * Our client, a Hedge Fund Company, is seeking an experienced contract SharePoint 2007 Web Designer/Developer for development of both Intranet and Extranet Portals. Responsibilities include design & development of portal web applications based on the SharePoint 2007 platform. This contract position requires anticipating user requirements and rapidly developing SharePoint based solutions that include custom, professional quality user interfaces. Proven experience developing custom, professional quality user interfaces for SharePoint solutions is a must! *Essential responsibilities: * * Developing and maintaining a *SharePoint 2007 portal.* * *Develop and support business functions including assisting with training content development.* * *Designing portal components (Web Parts)* * *Extensive VB.Net and ASP.Net experience* * *Customizing, integrating with third party solutions, and implementing an Enterprise SharePoint solution. * ** Troubleshoot and resolve issues * *Education/experience:* *At least five years related experience with web design and development experience.* Recent experience within *SharePoint 2007 using SharePoint Designer and SQL Server 2005, one or more published websites that we can view would be a distinct bonus*. Should be familiar and competent with *Visual Studio 2008,* *asp.net, VB, graphical applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and/or the Microsoft Expressions range of products. Familiarity with AJAX, JavaScript, Flash, Workflow, particularly ShareVis and/or Silverlight would be a bonus.* Excellent documentation skills are essential as well as an ability to communicate clearly with the business users. The successful candidate should maintain a professional demeanor at all times and expect long days, with some evening and weekend working. Occasional business travel, possibly internationally, may be required.
