What makes you think so? We're working together on an OpenGL/Freetype
renderer that can be used by a backend. Shai is working on an FLTK
backend (inherited from octplot) that will likely be included into core
octave. I'm working on a Java-based backend (inherited from JHandles).
Both use the same OpenGL renderer.

No Qt here....
