On 2009 Jun 20, Philip Nienhuis reported a problem with actxserver in
3.2.0 that resulted in the error message
can't perform indexing operations for octave_com_object type

Michael Goffioul responded, saying 'Should be fixed now in source
tree. As a workaround, you should be able to use the com_get, com_set
and com_invoke functions.'

I'm seeing the same error message in
Octave-3.2.3-2_i686-pc-mingw32_gcc-4.4.0_setup.exe with a script that
uses actxserver and works in Matlab. Should 3.2.3 have the fix that
Michael referred to? Is it likely that I'm seeing a new bug?

I have to say that I don't really understand this actxserver stuff,
and the script that I'm trying to run was written for Matlab by
somebody else. Where would I find an explanation of how to use the
com_get, com_set and com_invoke functions that Michael referred to?

Thank you.

- Robert
