Greetings,
I just installed Octave and several Octave-Forge packages using the Octave
Windows Installer. There are several packages listed on the Octave-Forge site
that did not appear in the Windows Installer. I downloaded some of these
additional packages and tried unsuccessfully to install them using “pkg install
filename.tar.gz”. Errors like “ ‘curr_sym_tab’ was not declared in this scope”
are typical.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
