I hate to be the one to always push for the "linux" solution, but I was
wondering what the exact reasons for using Notes/Exchange usually are?
Stability? Usability? Cost effectiveness? (cough cough)??
The other solution, which I'm probably going to look at if/when I upgreade
my linux gateway with a more powerful machine, is Intrastore
(www.intrastore.cdc.com). Which is available for NT/Solaris/Linux. The
linux version is free (for upto 250 users) which would suffice most places
in New Zealand quite nicely.
It offers full public folders, web-based imap access, imap4rev1
connectivity by email clients, smtp and pop3 access as well. It seems to
be quite nice, although I havn't really seen many reports of people using
it (I havn't really looked).
