The reason it was forced in here was that senior management (people with
PAs) required a product that allowed a person to schedule appointment etc.
in some other persons schedule, share schedules etc. The mulitplatform client
and the web browser interface for remote users were also very telling. The email
client looked servicable (frankly I think it is a dog and still use Pegasus via IMAP
and POP
instead), gave universal address book etc. We use lots of the other functionality
but it was calendar/schedule function, multiple clients and web-access that were
telling.
I also dislike the calendar but mostly because it requires a heavyweight client
to be open all the time just to get reminder alarms. (Why none of these things
use NT scheduler or similar lightweight function is a mystery to me).
