Hi all,

I've been using the Argosoft Internet components to make a custom email reader. They
work just fine.

But we seem to find that occassionally we loose attachments, or rather cannot decode
an attachment.

It appears the problem occurs with Outlook users mainly, where they "embed" documents.
I think that Outlook then
encodes the attachments in TNEF format. The result is a file with no extension and no
hope of decoding.

I believe there are similar problems with Groupwise and later versions of Netscape.

Has anyone been down this track and sorted it out?

I also go the same problem receiving files into Eudora Pro some while ago so I do not
believe that it is the email
components, rather the way MS and some others encode attachments.

kr

Gary
