Email me offline. Richard Vowles does a service like this which may appeal -
basically, he has a machine hosted at an ISP, and for X$/month (for me, with
3 people and 4 domains, its about $50/month, but I also help manage his
server), we could host the domain, and forward [EMAIL PROTECTED]/.com to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] or whereever you wanted it forwarded. Its not a public,
commercial service, but it does work well, and its not as expensive as a
normal ISP - plus, you get control over your domain, so you can move it if
you want, when ever you want.

offline is [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Subject: [DUG-OFFTOPIC]: Getting a Domain

Hi

Am looking at getting a domain name but not sure about some of the issues.

My email address is currently with xtra, but I don't necessarily want xtra
to host my domain. Will xtra automatically forward any mail sent to my xtra
address to my new site if it is not hosted by them? (Until I get my
stationery reprinted.)

Do ISP's have different charges for hosting domains?

What are other issues to consider?

TIA

Mark
