I actually have the MYOB direct plus CD, I got it from a Stuart Bale from MYOB New Zealand Limited, and he just sent it to me for free, although it only includes the MYOB 6.0 beta code it has the full ODBC Direct functionality in it.

Hi!

 

Has any one had any success with getting MYOB to update cards?

 

The only thing MYOB have told me is that there is some sort of import procedure, I have not tried anything yet, but wanted to know if any one knows whether that import procedure will update an existing client "card".

 

I had hoped for a COM object, but it seems you have to register for a $AUD 850.00 d2d programme to even find out about such things and then pay some bi-monthly or quarterly fee to use a forum to get answers.

 

Found a booklet (NEXT series) at Borders and other magazine shops ($14.00) that gave me more information than MYOB telephone services, or an email (which I waited nearly a month for a reply!) gave me. In fact MYOB NZ tele services denied there was even a COM object, but the NEXT booklet describes it!

 

I have only one person wanting help for MYOB at present (connecting an existing database- addresses so that they don't have to double enter client information) I don't at this point even want to read account files, just update customer addresses etc ..

 

Can't justify $850AUD etc .. just to do that, seems off the wall somehow ..
