But I am not with Xtra....so I don't think its that Dennis.
If I send an email from work or from hotmail to myself, they are almost
instantly sent to me, so that kinda blows that theory.

It depends on the mailserver/listserver that is being used.
I know with my mailserver, the listserver on it tends to be a little bit
slow publishing a message because of what reason I don't know, but its
def. slower than the mailserver.
So these issues might just be a software problem...its hard to say.

Emails messages are sent as low priority packets, so routers may choose
slower or more congested routes and mail servers can typically queue
messages, so there is no guarantee of how long it will take a message to
get to its destination.  Furthermore, you are on Xtra - their email
service (If you can call it service) is unreliable.
