Subject: FW: [DUG-Offtopic] Random mail message order

2/ At home using MS Outlook sometimes I ask it to send/receive (I like to do
it manually when on a dial-up connection) nothing happens (I have the
connection icon shown in the task bar and it doesn't indicate traffic). I
think a restart is required before Outlook behaves. Re-dialling isn't
enough. Anyone else experienced this?

John Bird:
Oh yes - My Outlook 2002 has done this for months, on in house Network
connection. I have been to in-house network admin and Microsoft support who
gave me suggestions until the next one required money. Nothing worked, same
symptoms as you describe, Send/Receive hangs. Reboot usually fixes it.
Testing account option under account setup always passes. Also I cannot
find my address book, separate and related issue. Ran scanpst.exe with no
errors. Nothing in Outlook or Microsoft support or Microsoft knowledge base
sheds any light. My guess is if chokes up when it tries to connect to the
mail server. Anyone with suggestions? Would be welcomed.
